TEMPORARILY CLOSED
This projects aims to encourage the historic-archaeological investigation and cultural, environmental and touristic valorisation of the area centred around the archaeological site of the Montaccianico Castle, north of Sant’Agata, in the borough of Scarperia. Over the XIII century and up to the beginning of the XIV century the Castle was the main bastion of the noble family Ubaldini’s power which extended over most of the central part of Mugello as well as the Tuscan and Romagnola Apennines, countering the northerly expansion of the city of Florence.
