Very beautiful route which doesn't present any problems. First along the ridges and then, from Mount Rotondo, through thick chestnut woods along minor roads while taking great care to follow the signs.
From Acone S. Eustachio (477 m.a.s.l.), trail n.00 reaches Poggio la Cupola, the ruins of Casa Peretola (720 m.a.s.l.), the farm holiday in Pratinovi until it reaches Monumento della Lotta Partigiana (monument for the Partisans of WWII).
We continue along 00, which leads to Cappella di S. Giusto (911 m.a.s.l.) and briefly on through the pine woods until it reaches the summit of Mount Giovi (992 m..a.s.l.) , where an enormous wooden cross stands.
Moving along 00 and bypassing trail n. 10, we move down to Casa Cerro (849 m.a.s.l.).
We ignore trail 9 (SOFT ring n.6 to Sagginale), cross the intersection that leads to villa Cerchiai and left to Aceraia on the trail on our left, (trail n.6 e n.7 and SOFT ring n.3 ) that moves down to Case Tagliaferro.
The road passes just south of the summit of Mount Rotondo (773 m.a.s.l.) , which can be easily reached, however.
We leave trail 00 and take a trail on the right, n. 3.
We move down along a stream, which we cross and then climb until we reach a dirt path, and therefore a trail that meets the paved municipal road that leads to Montepulico.
Moving left along this road, we reach Villa Candigliana (551m.a.s.l.) and shortly after the paved road that leads to Salaiole which, left, moves down to S.R. Faentina, and right takes us directly back to Polcanto.
