There are several equipped shelters in the Giogo-Casaglia complex where you can stop to eat or sleep:

KML SHELTERS IN THE GIOGO CASAGLIA COMPLEX

Capanna Marcone (Borgo San Lorenzo-Fi)

The name Marcone dates back to the Reign of Italy, 1800, and a bandit that lived in the territory. Today this small equipped shelter is always open. It stands on the trail that leads to the mountain crests, not far from Prato all’Albero, surrounded by fields and a sky-scraping panoramic beech wood. On August 12, 1944, the battle of Capanna Marcone, in which the partisans - headed by Guerrino - ambushed a battalion of German foot soldiers, took place on the site.

Capanna Sicuteri Borgo San Lorenzo (Fi)

The shelter takes its name from a family of shepherds that lead their herds to the hill country. Today the structure is being restored following a fire that damaged the premises. It will include an area for barbequing.

Ca’ di Cicci (Palazzuolo sul Senio-Fi)

This small shelter is always open. It stands on top of a spur rock formation that dominates the land below, offering a breathtaking view over the Rovigo gorge. It stands between the Sambuca Pass and the Rovigo River.

I Piani (Borgo San Lorenzo-Fi)

The small shelter is under restoration, but will accommodate up to four guests and will include a barbeque pit.
