In Scarperia, in the municipality of Scarperia e San Piero, the Palio del Diotto is held every year on September 8, commemorating the historical appointment of the Vicario. The celebration features a costumed parade, traditional strength-based games, and a solemn ceremony in the main square in front of the Palazzo dei Vicari.
In Borgo San Lorenzo, around August 10, the Palio di San Lorenzo revives an 18th-century tradition with horse races, games, tombolas, and community festivities under the stars. Rediscovered in 2015, the event involves the town’s four historic districts in a joyful competition.
