Sunday, September 18 visit to the ancient Parrini Mill of Sant'Agata, the parish church and the archaeological museum in which there is, among other things, an ancient "millstone", dating back to 30 thousand years ago. The mill, thanks to the will of the current owner and the great commitment of volunteers, has been brought back into operation and is working. Every Sunday we grind the wheat which then, on Tuesday, is used to prepare bread in the premises themselves and baked in the wood-burning oven that is next door.
Program of the day:
- 10.20 am meeting at the parking lot of the village Sant'Agata in the municipality of Scarperia.
- 10.30 am beginning visit of the old mill.
- 12.30 pm lunch of products prepared with flour ground in the mill and cooked in a wood-burning oven
- 15 guided tour of the Archaeological Documentation Centre and the ancient Pieve di Sant'Agata.
The cost of the ticket and the guided tour, plus a contribution to the organization, is 10 euros.
The cost of the lunch is 25€.
