This year, ITER in October in Dicomano: experience Mugello at a slow pace with many initiatives and offers
After the first year, which served to present the project as it was completing its "constructive" phase, "ITER – 2nd Festival of Walking and Slow Living in Mugello" returns. The event, curated by the "Le Orme" Association and linked to the Orme del Mugello project, will, as originally conceived, travel across the project's territories. Therefore, after launching in 2025 between San Piero a Sieve and Barberino, this year the Festival will move east and will be held in Dicomano. The timing of the event is also new: it will take place on October 10th and 11th, coinciding with the traditional October Fair, held in the town on the banks of the Sieve River. It will be an opportunity to experience one of the most beautiful seasons in our region: the grape harvest, the chestnuts, the truffles, and in Dicomano, the Bardiccio (the traditional Bardiccio challenge will take place on that occasion), the splendid landscapes made unique by the foliage. And there will be no shortage of trails, along the 14 Orme itineraries, exploring wine, the Etruscans, history, and religion. There will be many initiatives to learn about and experience the project, its stories, and the businesses involved and involved in it. Culture, art, craftsmanship, food and wine, and traditions can be seen, learned, or even experienced through free trekking, cycling, yoga classes, and activities with your own animals. There will also be conferences discussing Mugello, slow tourism, and walking.
The presence of important and qualified names will make the meetings and events highly attractive, just as the presence of qualified operators will make the proposed experiences unique. Artists will be performing throughout the two-day event, Mugello cuisine will be offered at an attractive refreshment stand, and music and theater will enliven the event in a pleasant way, always connected to the themes of Orme del Mugello. There will also be space for many businesses, municipalities, and associations to showcase their activities or productions and bring the nine municipalities of the Mugello tourist area to life. It's also a great opportunity for those on a journey to leave their "footprints" in Mugello.
Stay tuned for the program!
