CollettivoDieci presents "InnerSwan" at Spazio Brizzolari in Scarperia (Florence)
A site-specific performance that transforms the Museum into an inner landscape
On Sunday, May 4th, 2025, Spazio Brizzolari in Scarperia (Florence) opens its doors to a unique and unrepeatable version of InnerSwan, a contemporary dance piece by CollettivoDieci, directed and choreographed by Anna Pesetti.
This Tuscan stop, made possible through collaboration with the Museum, offers the audience an immersive and intimate experience: part of the performance will be itinerant, with the performers moving through the exhibition rooms, transforming the museum space into a perceptive and symbolic place. This choice allows for a close, almost confidential experience of the performance, inviting each spectator to engage in a direct dialogue with the themes of the work.

Loosely inspired by the timeless masterpiece Swan Lake, the performance delves into the depths of the human psyche to explore gender identity, self-perception, and the breaking of social conventions. On stage, the performers free themselves from gender markers, dissolving the boundaries between masculine and feminine, while the audience is called to face a radical and pressing question: how far are we willing to go beyond routine, beyond the mirror?
“Just as Odette remains trapped in the body of the swan, we human beings remain trapped in the routine imposed by society.”
InnerSwan is not just a performance: it is a visual and sensory experience, an invitation to metamorphosis and to the liberation of the most authentic essence within us.
