SPLENDID TWENTIETH CENTURY
I won't die even if they kill me. Or: GIOVANNINO GUARESCHI narrated by DANIELA CAPPELLI
On Saturday, 7 September at 4 p.m., at the Sala della Sezione Soci Coop di Borgo San Lorenzo, inside the Mugello shopping centre, Daniela Cappelli will recount the troubled and passionate story of one of the protagonists of the Italian twentieth century: Giovannino Guareschi (1908-1968). Known above all and rightly so for having given life with the figures of Don Camillo and Peppone to a literary and cinematographic saga that perhaps has no equal in popularity in Italian history, Guareschi did not fail to influence national customs in other ways throughout the 20th century. Daniela Cappelli will recount its lesser-known but no less compelling details.
The result of the collaboration between the E20 - Eccezionali Eventi Association, this will be the first of four meetings, united by the title SPLENDIDO NOVECENTO, and focusing on four Italian protagonists of the century that has just ended: after Guareschi, we will talk about Mario Soldati (5 October), Ottone Rosai (9 November), and Mario Sironi (7 December), always at the Coop Members' Section Room, and always on Saturday at 4pm.
The first appointment is therefore for Saturday 7 September at 4 p.m., at the Saletta della Sezione Soci Coop di Borgo San Lorenzo.
