The Festival of Tuscany 2021, promoted by the Regional Council, has as its theme this year
"From the abolition of the death penalty to the fight against hate languages: Tuscany is a land of rights", the initiatives linked to the presentation of a publication will take place until May 2022.
The proposed initiative is intended to conduct the analysis of regulatory interventions in recognition and protection of the rights of women present in the reforming work of Peter Leopold of Habsburg Lorraine. Here, in fact, one space is dedicated to the development of devices aimed at promoting the recognition of the women’s independence through education and training entrusted to the institution Conservatives
public created to put an end to the abuses of convents and monasteries that had considered their students like nuns: it was forbidden to the convents that had chosen the rule of common life, to give instruction to the secular girls (1785) and was therefore provided to organize new Conservatories that were education and education of women, widows and husbands "for the purpose of training the future
teachers to be employed in the service of the public". The implementation of the right to education was accompanied by the recognition of the validity of female testimonies before civil and criminal courts.
This can be confirmed by the examination of the extensive documentation of the judicial acts of the Vicariate of Scarperia in the years of the government pietroleopoldino, in which it appears with evidence as the offenses and the delicts against the person or property brought to trial by women, see the application of severe penalties to the charge of the offender and the protection of the rights of the person without gender bias.
