Until May 19, the period in which registration for municipal education services will also be open, is set up at the atrium of the town hall of Borgo San Lorenzo the photo exhibition "The rights of girls and boys...in every day of the year" realized and curated by Arca Cooperativa Sociale in collaboration with the Municipal School Office.
The shots, made within the kindergartens, emphasize the importance and value of the rights of children: experimenting, playing, learning, participating, dreaming, making mistakes, communicating, sharing, growing together.
The consequences of the restrictions imposed on the protection of public health due to the COVID-19 pandemic have undermined a series of rights that seemed definitively acquired, such as those to sociality, listening, participation, the exploration especially of the girls and boys who have approached life in the last three years. Educational services have been during the whole period of the pandemic strongholds for children where they exercise and maintain the right to sociality and relationship, discovery and experimentation. The exhibition aims to be a starting point for reflection for adults who have the responsibility to concretize and defend these rights to accompany children and young people towards the future and a sign of hope towards a society that puts children more and more at the center. The exhibition will end on 27 May 2022 important date on which marks the anniversary of the ratification of Italy of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and Adolescence, the international treaty establishing universal principles for the protection of children and young people worldwide. The Convention is a legal instrument and a reference to every effort made in fifty years of defending children’s rights.
