5 projects for the regeneration of Borgo San Lorenzo proposed by the participants in "Spaces for Youth"
On 7 April at Villa Pecori the presentation of the ideas of the 30 young participants in the co-design of Borgo Prossima 80 young people involved in the presentation of the project, 30 under 35 who participated in the training course, 22 speakers, 5 working groups for 5 regeneration projects for Borgo San Lorenzo.
These are just some of the numbers of the project "Spaces for Young People" wanted by the Municipality of Borgo San Lorenzo as part of the Borgo Prossima participation path. A project dedicated to young people, to make them protagonists of the future of the territory, giving them skills and support to start new projects able to give life to abandoned or disused spaces in the capital and in the villages."Spaces for Youth", starting from a mapping of the spaces to regenerate in the capital and in the villages, accompanied the participants, thanks to the participation of tutors and experts, in a training and codesign aimed at the acquisition of new skills and the development of projects for the reuse of space and the implementation of new services.
On 7 April 2022, starting at 17.00, at the Villa Pecori Giraldi, each of the 5 groups will present the results of their work in a public event of return of the route: a coworking space to counteract the isolation of smart workers; a festival that aims to overturn the point of view on marginal areas; a laboratory and exhibition space for contemporary crafts; a socio-cultural center self-managed by young people; a service for innovation in education on STEM subjects.
The event will be attended by the same Municipal Administration, called to respond to the requests of the groups and to suggest opportunities and possible development trajectories for the 5 project ideas.
