Result of a research work directed by prof. Marco Pinelli, art historian, and by professor Carla Giuseppina Romby, historian of architecture, and carried out by a study group of volunteers from our association, the work led to the rediscovery of the architectural and artistic richness of churches and buildings of worship of the territory often hidden or forgotten. The volume is the result of an in-depth research in the Florentine and local archives and of the available print sources, as well as of reconnaissance of all the realities still used for worship and of those of which only traces remain. The text is accompanied by extensive photographic documentation, which testifies to the richness and beauty of the territory's heritage.
