Orme del Mugello is a project born to promote slow tourism in a land rich in history, nature, and traditions. In an era where everything moves quickly, this approach invites travelers to slow down and experience the journey in an authentic way—respectful of the environment and deeply connected to the places they visit. The Mugello, with its unspoiled landscapes, forests, streams, centuries-old chestnut groves, and ancient paths, is the perfect place to immerse oneself in an experience that engages all the senses.

The project features interconnected thematic itineraries that can last from just a few hours to several days, covering the entire Mugello territory and catering to all interests: culture, art, food and wine, wellness, and more. These routes offer the chance to explore local history, retracing the paths of pilgrims, merchants, warriors, and farmers through printed and digital guides enriched with audio, video, and images.

The trails evoke the names of illustrious figures who have shaped the region’s history, such as the Medici family, Giotto, Beato Angelico, Giovanni della Casa, and many others.

Along the way, travelers can stop in villages, farms, and agricultural estates to witness traditional craftsmanship and savor local cuisine, born from the Tuscan-Romagna heritage. Mugello’s hospitality structures welcome walkers, cyclists, and horseback riders, offering comfort and warmth that turn each day into a cherished memory.
