Each partisan was one, together they became the Resistance
It is with this spirit that the Municipal Administration of Borgo San Lorenzo, together with the local ANPI section, is celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Liberation, promoting a rich programme of initiatives aimed at the entire community, with particular attention to the younger generations.
Wednesday 16 April
Partisan Streets
From 2.15 p.m., meeting in front of the school in Via Don Minzoni, a walk through the anti-fascist village with the students of the third classes of the ‘Giovanni della Casa’ secondary school, discovering the places dedicated to the Resistance and the memory of 25 April.
Liberation Poppies’ workshops - Re Mida Centre
Creative workshops for making the red poppies, symbol of the Resistance, that will parade during the 25 April procession.
Free event open to all.

Inauguration of the exhibition of the Istituto Comprensivo di Borgo San Lorenzo
In the halls of the Palazzo Comunale, students' works on memory journeys will be on display. Also on show will be the restored historical ANPI flag, symbol of the fight for freedom.
THURSDAY 25 APRIL - LIBERATION DAY
- 9.30am - Holy Mass at the parish church of Borgo San Lorenzo
- 10.15 a.m. - Commemorative procession with laying of wreaths at the symbolic sites of the Resistance
- 1:00 p.m. - Resistant Lunch at Spazio3 (Via Salvador Allende 31)
