The 12th Lyric-Symphonic Season of the Camerata de' Bardi Begins 6 Internationally Acclaimed Symphonic Concerts for Scarperia and Vicchio
On Monday, June 24, 2024, at 9:00 PM, Palazzo dei Vicari will host the cultural association Camerata de' Bardi from Borgo San Lorenzo for the inauguration of its 12th Lyric-Symphonic Season, featuring the summer concert series Orchestra Summer Festival, now in its third edition.
The symphonic festival will open with the Sandnes Kulturskole Ung Symfoni from Norway, conducted by Kjersti Nilsen.
The second event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 3, 2024, with the youth ensemble Galli Musici from Slovakia.
The following day, Thursday, July 4, 2024, the Portuguese youth orchestra Os Violinhos will perform.
From Portugal to Austria with the Tonart Jugendsinfonieorchester, which will perform on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
On Friday, July 12, 2024, the Orchestra Summer Festival will move to Vicchio, to the Casa di Giotto in Vespignano, for the symphonic event featuring the Harju County String Orchestra from Estonia.
The summer concert series will conclude with the Orquesta Juvenil de Cuerdas del Instituto Kwapisz from Mexico on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Palazzo dei Vicari.
All concerts begin at 9:00 PM.
For the Orchestra Summer Festival, Camerata de' Bardi renews its established collaboration with the International Festival of Youth Orchestras, the Proloco of Scarperia, and the Proloco of Vicchio, and receives the patronage of the Municipality of Scarperia e San Piero and the Municipality of Vicchio, along with contributions from Banco Fiorentino, the Coop Members Section of Borgo San Lorenzo, and Il Giardinetto B&B of Scarperia.
All festival events are free and open to the public.
