Not Only March 8
In Borgo San Lorenzo, on the occasion of International Women's Day, the Administration has endorsed a series of events that will span the entire week.
The International Women's Day on March 8 - says municipal councilor with responsibility for Equal Opportunities Stefania Ciardi - allows us to reflect on women's rights, yesterday and today; on how women's journey in society has unfolded, on how far we have come, and on how much more we still have to do. The calendar of events we support is designed to reflect on the female condition in this historical period, where the trail of femicides does not stop, where in society and institutions there is still a need for policies that guarantee full and complete gender equality. We continue to promote the role of women in social, work, and public life, with moments of interaction with the community alongside associations that work every day for gender equality and against all forms of violence and discrimination."
- The events will kick off tomorrow, March 5, with the inauguration of the exhibition "Free to... Live" organized by Confcommercio. After the presentation at 2:30 PM at the association's headquarters in Piazza V. Veneto, the setup that unfolds among the shop windows will be officially inaugurated.
