Excursion and Conference Saturday 7 October 2023 - SAN GODENZO, Le Valli and Casale
Another small contribution to prevent forgetfulness from taking over.
Event conceived by Andrea Papi, as part of the Project Le Valli, organized by the Association Andrea del Castagno.
The abandonment of the mountain territory that took place after the war has partly erased the landscape once inhabited by women and men. As in all the Apennines also in the municipality of San Godenzo are still visible traces of buildings first abandoned and then destroyed by the passage of time, properties that today have no real economic value. Once productive farms that no longer exist and that slowly turn into woods. Buildings where people have lived over the centuries, whose memory is difficult to preserve today.
