A Camerata de' Bardi Cultural Association's event
The Camerata de' Bardi Cultural Association organizes, in collaboration with the International Youth Orchestra Festival, the Proloco of Scarperia and that of Vicchio, as well as the respective municipal administrations, the second edition of the Summer Festival©Orchestra, starting its new opera-symphonic season, the 11th.
The youth formations of this new edition 2023 will be guests of the Municipalities of Scarperia and Vicchio and will perform respectively in the Courtyard of Palazzo dei Vicari and Piazza Giotto.
- Monday, July 3: Vicchio, Piazza Giotto, with the Canadian Toronto All Stars Steel Orchestra composed of 50 young people from Ontario, conducted by Salmon Cupid.
- Thursday, July 20: Scarperia, Palazzo dei Vicari will host the exhibition of the magnificent Amerfoorts Jeugd Orkest from the Netherlands, 80 young award-winning musicians in the many international festivals and competitions, directed by Rolf Buijs and with the presence of the solo cello Fama Koning.
- Saturday, July 22 : Vicchio, Piazza Giotto, the performance of the Konstanz Youth Orchestra and Mädchenchor from Germany.
- Thursday, July 27: Scarperia,Palazzo dei Vicari, the performance of the Seo Cho Youth Orchestra, from South Korea. The Seo Cho Youth Orchestra will be directed by Kim Jae Yoon and will feature six young soloists: Kim Taeo on oboe, Suh Joohyuk and Suh Chanhyuk on violins, Kim Joonhwan and Park Ahel on cellos, Kang Jieun at the piano for a program from Johann Sebastian Bach to Ennio Morricone.
- Friday, August 4: Scarperia, Palazzo dei Vicari, the Swiss team Jugend Sinfonie Orchester Crescend will be conducted by Kaethi Schmid Lauber and will propose a program that reaches from the great symphonies to the pop music of our planet.
All five concerts of the Summer Festival 2023 Orchestra start at 21.00 and are free for all citizens.
