Great feast for San Giovanni, appointments throughout the day
Vicchio is preparing to celebrate Saint John the Baptist, patron saint, with a series of initiatives and activities throughout the day of June 24. Among these, two inaugurations: that of the new roller shooting track and that of the restored altarpiece of the 400' relocated in the Church of San Giovanni Battista.
Preview on June 23 at 20 with the "Acqua di San Giovanni tra fiori e lucciolata", by the Agricultural Group: meeting at the club of Caselle for sharing flowers, activities-relaxation with firefly and ancient traditions related to San Giovanni.
For the Feast of the Patron Saint will be held from 8 to 24 the market in Piazza della Vittoria. At 9 in the program the excursion to Pagliericcio with immersion in the hydric flowers (meeting at the circle Le Caselle), by the Agricultural Group. Follows at 11 the inauguration of the new track of the shooting to the roller in the locality Ponte a Vicchio while at 16 to the lake of Montelleri there will be activities for children with "The games of the past" and at 16.45 in Piazza Giotto will arrive the Agricultural Group.
At 17 at the Church of San Giovanni Battista will be inaugurated the restored altarpiece of 400.
It continues at 17.30 at the Casa di Benvenuto Cellini with the workshop by the Widespread School of Mugello, while at 18 will be celebrated solemn Mass.
From 19 space to music in Piazza Giotto with "Sinergica Live&Djset", then at 19.45 the vicchiesi will meet in the square for "Vicchio a tavola": reservation required (don Maurizio Pieri 339 7717511 or 3473241767). At 21 will perform the Vicchio Folk Band while at 23.30 will play bingo (from the windows of the town hall). Closing with eyes upwards to watch from Piazza Giotto to the inevitable fireworks display.
