Apartments tucked away in a park embellished by hundred-year-old trees. An oasis of peace and tranquillity right in the heart of the town's historic center. A prestigious establishment for the tourist who wants nothing but the best for his vacation. As you can see, each apartment is named for an element of its past: "La tinaia": bedroom, bath and kitchen plus a living room which measures 40 square meters. The apartment’s name clearly explains its origins. It used to be the Tinaia (wine cellar) of the Torricelli Ciamponi farm where, just two generations ago, they produced good Mugellan wine and excellent Vin Santo. "Lo scrittoio": This apartment bears the name of Lo scrittoio (the desk), because back when the villa was the heart of the Torricelli farm, the parlour was the proprietor's office. There is a bedroom featuring two twin beds or one double bed, a living/dining room with kitchenette, a small entry parlour which can be turned into a second bedroom by way of a sliding partition, and a bathroom for a total of 72 square meters. A door in the living/dining leads out into the garden. "Mezzascala": This apartment bears the name of mezzascala (halfway up the stairs) because the entrance is on a landing found approximately halfway up the staircase which leads to the upper floors of the villa. On that exact spot, a bell recovered from a family Chapel (still owned by the Toricellis and located beyond the Il Giogo Pass towards Firenzuola) was placed there to safeguard it from thieves. The apartment measures 42 square meters and is comprised of a bedroom, bath, and living/dining room with kitchenette. There is also a terrace which overlooks the park. The flooring of this apartment is particularly interesting. It was made with wooden panels of varying sizes recovered from the staves of the villa’s wine barrels which were handcrafted by a local artisan. "Montedomini": Also located on the villa's grounds is a building named “Montedomini” which houses an apartment of the same name. This lovely two-room apartment boasts an extremely cozy atmosphere. These rooms were once the homes of some of Scarperia's old cutlers. Its simplicity is now enhanced due to an attentive restoration of its original architectural details. Even though the villa is in the centre of the old town, it is encircled by a park measuring 11,000 square meters. Approximately one-third of these grounds has been reserved exclusively for use by our guests and we are working very hard to be able to install a pool as well. Due to the park's location, care must be taken while developing the plans in order to ensure that the design is suitable for this unique environment.
