12th/04 - A WALK ON THE FARM

Sunday, 12 April 2026

Guided visit, excursion,workshop

The series of excursions continues, a project promoted by GAS Mugello in collaboration with the Thursday Farmers' Market, along with Donata Petracchi (Environmental Hiking Guide). This initiative is designed to provide a first-hand look at local farms, present every Thursday at the Borgo San Lorenzo Farmers' Market, and the principles of sustainable agriculture. The second outing is scheduled for Sunday, April 12, 2026, with a pleasant hike in the Dicomano countryside, discovering two local businesses: BeeO Baita and Avicola Vicolagna. An immersive experience combining nature, tradition, and local produce: participants will be able to observe the world of bees and honey production up close, accompanied by the enthusiastic farm managers, and learn about the daily life of a poultry farm, among free-range hens and amazingly colored eggs.

● Total experience duration: approximately 5 hours

● Walking time: approximately 2 hours

● Expected return: 2:00 PM

Reservations and information: Contact Donata Petracchi (Guide) at +39 339 2561014 (also WhatsApp). This initiative is part of a series of six guided tours dedicated to discovering Mugello farms, with the aim of promoting greater awareness of local and sustainable consumption.
