Fancy an aperitif in a beautiful spot? On Saturday, we’ll head up Monte Giovi, a mountain steeped in history, from Etruscan times to the present day. From San Martino a Scopeto, we’ll reach the church of Barbiana, where Don Lorenzo Milani founded his school – an experimental educational project that still serves as a source of inspiration for educational thought today. From there, we’ll continue our walk along the paths of the partisan resistance, which saw Monte Giovi as a place of welcome, gathering and refuge. For those who’d like to, once we reach Tamburino, Davide will be waiting for us for a lovely aperitif with a view of the lake ?!!
NB: and just like in our grandparents’ day, we’ll be heading back in the dark ?! So bring a head torch!
I look forward to seeing you ? !
