With a diploma in the field of pictorial decoration from the State Institute of Art in Florence, a degree in Contemporary Art History at the University of Florence, Luca Canavicchio has carried out the work of painter and decorator and, later, teacher of Illustration and History of Contemporary Jewellery at the international school of jewellery Le Arti Orafe in Florence. In 2005 he began his experimentation with the different techniques of the ceramic production until he opening, the following year, of his own studio in wich he creates ceramic-sculptures characterised by a strong operative formal synthesis beginning from the initial natural forms. Luca Canavicchio produces solely exclusives pieces, entirely handmade accompained by a certificate of uniqueness and authenticity. He works mainly in terracotta, majolica, shining majolica often with three fired gilding.
