Four days dedicated to guests of the Mugello accommodation facilities organized between July and October 2023 to discover the beauty of this destination through its 9 municipalities!

APPOINTMENTS:

• SUNDAY 23rd JULY 2023 Vicchio, Dicomano and San Godenzo

H 9:45 meeting at the station of Vicchio and departure by bus to San Godenzo in the name of a trekking surrounded by unspoilt nature sangodenzina. Arrival at the hidden waterfall and small regenerating stop. Return by bus and departure for Dicomano.

Lunch time arrival at the Frascole Archaeological Excavations. Guided tour of the archaeological area and, afterwards, lunch break at the nearby picnic area with packed lunch.

H 15:00 arrival in Vicchio. Visit the historic center of Vicchio and walk around Lake Montelleri not far from the town center. After a short relaxing walk on the shores of the lake, a short visit to one of the wineries producing Pinot Noir of Mugello awaits us, followed by a tasting of the same with artistic recreational activities.

H 17:30 conclusion of the activities and departure for Vicchio station.

• SUNDAY 20th AUGUST 2023 Barberino di Mugello and Firenzuola

H 9:45 meeting point at the car park on the right of the Barberino di Mugello motorway exit and departure for Firenzuola. Visit the old town, the Pietra Serena Museum and a short demonstration linked to the serene world of this sandstone. Departure for Badia di Moscheta.

Lunch time arrival at the picnic area of Badia di Moscheta and packed lunch. After a refreshing break in the nature departure for Barberino di Mugello.

H 15:00 departure for Lake Bilancino.  Here the group will have the opportunity to take a panoramic tour of the lake and then live an active experience to live the territory. 

H 17:30 conclusion of the activities and return to the meeting place.

• SUNDAY 10th SEPTEMBER 2023 Borgo San Lorenzo and Scarperia e San Piero

H 9.45 meeting at the station of Borgo San Lorenzo and deperture by bus to Scarperia e San Piero. Visit the city centre of Scarperia, city of knives, following by the visit of the famous Palazzo dei Vicari. At the end of the visit it will be possible to see the temporary exhibition "I Medici: gente del Mugello" in collaboration with the Uffizi Galleries housed inside the building.

Lunch Time Arrival at the old farm Il Palagiaccio, visit of the farm and small cheese tasting. Departure for San Piero a Sieve and lunch break (packed lunch*) at the "area festa" of the Antonio Berti Park, followed by a short walk through the streets of the old town.

H 15.30 Departure for Borgo San Lorenzo, the city of ceramics, arrival at Villa Pecori Giraldi and experience linked to the world of ceramics.

H 17.30 conclusion of the activities and return to the meeting place.

• SATURDAY 21st OCTOBER 2023 Marradi and Palazzuolo Sul Senio

H 9.45 meeting at the station of Marradi. Departure for the historic residence Palazzo Torriani for a guided tour and a tasting related to the world of chestnuts. After an experience linked to the world of Marrone del Mugello IGP, surrounded by the beauty that this building can offer, transfer to the horse riding center La Casetta di Marradi to carry out the activity of collecting chestnuts and for a walk in the Castagneto Path - a cultural and educational path.

Lunch Time Lunch break in the chestnut grove with packed lunch.

H 15.00 transfer to Palazzuolo sul Senio, one of "I Borghi più belli d'Italia" .Arrival in the village and visit of the Palazzo dei Capitani and the museums housed inside.

H 17.30 End of activities and return to Marradi station.
