Vaglia has been inhabited since the pre-Roman age. Its urban structure goes back to the year one thousand with the construction of St. Peter Parish Church (983).

MONTESENARIO SANCTUARY

VILLA MEDICEA DI PRATOLINO - già Villa Demidoff
It was projected by great artists of the Florentine Renaissance like Bernardo Buontalenti and Giambologna for Francesco I de’Medici. The park with fountains and artificial caves is a symbolic allegoric route where the natural beauties go along with wonders constructed by man: the fountain statue of the Apennines is a splendid work.
