Borgo DiVino returns to the Poggio dei Medici Golf Club for its autumn edition in Mugello
Guided tastings, master classes and an exclusive wine shop. Over 100 wineries from all over Italy and more than 400 wines for tasting.
The weekend of 26 and 27 October sees the return of the ‘Borgo DiVino’ wine festival, an appointment that has now become a fixture for all lovers of wine and good drinking. After the success of last year, the Mugello edition of BdV will be hosted by the Poggio dei Medici Golf Club in Scarperia and San Piero, the splendid structure immersed in the Mugello hills, already a highly appreciated location by operators and the public alike in 2023.
THE NUMBERS OF THIS EDITION - More than 100 wineries from all over Italy are expected again this year, with a few nice surprises from abroad, for a total of more than 400 labels, all to be tasted by the public who can access the Wine Festival with an entrance ticket of 20 euros (reduced 17 euros for Banco Fiorentino, Off.Cu.Bo., Fisar, GoWine, Scuola Europea Sommelier) that includes, in addition to the tasting of all the wines present, a VDGlass that will remain with the visitor, the customised glass holder of the event, a pen and a booklet for notes on tastings. Admission to the event will be on both days from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
THE LOCATION - As mentioned, Borgo DiVino will be hosted again this year by the Poggio dei Medici Golf Club, located just a few minutes from the towns of Scarperia, San Piero a Sieve and Borgo San Lorenzo. The complex consists of a resort renovated in typical Tuscan style and a top-level competition course as well as a cosy clubhouse in the green hills of Mugello.
WINE SHOP - The wine festival, as is tradition, will once again this year offer the opportunity to buy the wines being tasted thanks to the in-house wine shop. A veritable wine shop that will make it possible to take home the wines previously tasted at cellar prices.
RESTAURANT SPACE - The Poggio dei Medici Golf Club will thus be transformed for two days into the centre of wine-making in the area and beyond, with numerous proposals to satisfy all palates, with guided tastings and masterclasses completing the offer for wine lovers. To fully enjoy the experience, there will be a catering area within the festival, dedicated to the excellent food and wine of Mugello, available to all participants and operators present.
SHUTTLE BUS - Also in this 2024 edition, a free shuttle bus service will be available to reach the Poggio dei Medici Golf Club. Departure and stops at the railway stations of Borgo San Lorenzo and San Piero a Sieve and this year the novelty of an extra stop at the ‘Il Borgonuovo’ car park in Via Ilaria Alpi, Loc. Pianvallico. The service will be provided by a 26-seater bus, cannot be booked and will be in operation for the entire duration of the Festival on both days.
