This year the first protagonists of the 43rd edition of the Mugellana Agricultural Fair, held in Borgo San Lorenzo organized by the municipal administration and Gal Start will be sheep. This is the main novelty of the Mugello event dedicated to zootechnics and local agriculture, which for many years has become a point of reference and comparison for operators, and at the same time a qualified showcase aimed at the general public, who traditionally crowd the spaces of the Foro Boario .
The Fair will host the exhibition and the national competition of Apennine breed sheep. Thus, 250 sheep will arrive from all over Italy to participate in the comparison on genetics and morphology. It will be a very important event, of national importance. There will be many events aimed at promoting local products, among which the novelty will be the Trippa Rade, which includes tastings and a special show cooking, in which the protagonist will be the so-called fifth quarter, with traditional dishes, poor but which have great benefits
Like every year, there will be the biodiversity pavilion on display, which will exhibit many animals of different breeds, a showcase for Mugello and Tuscan animal husbandry. And there will be the usual market of local producers who, like every year, will have the opportunity to make the products known and give an idea of how rich and diversified our agriculture is. A rich conference activity will be dedicated to specific aspects, just as, in collaboration with trade associations, workshops will be planned for children and teenagers who will be able to learn how to make cheese, how to milk it and collect honey. New local agricultural products and brands will also be presented.
Another novelty will be the chainsaw cutting competition which will also highlight and give space to the forestry world which is a very important and significant sector in Mugello. Competitions will be scheduled in the Salceta area near the bowling green.
