Event organized by Rotary Club Mugello
On Friday, April 5, 2024, starting at 8:00 PM, at the Giotto Theater in Vicchio (Piazzetta dei Buoni, 1), the Rotary Club Mugello is organizing an evening dedicated to intellectual disabilities and autism.
The evening will start at 8:00 PM with Rotary greetings from President Dr. Pasquale Petrone and Filippo Carlà Campa, Mayor of the Municipality
This will be followed by presentations and greetings from the Associations of Mugello and Tuscany that operate in the context of intellectual disabilities and autism: Il Delphino, La Casina, the Parents Association of Mugello and Alto Mugello against Marginalization, the INDACO Theater Association with the Other APS, the ProgettiAMO il Durante e il Dopo di Noi ETS Foundation, and a brief scientific and informative report by Dr. Marco Bertelli, President of the Autism section of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA), the Italian Society for Neurodevelopmental Disorders (SIDiN), and the Scientific Association of Rehabilitative Services of Tuscany.
The scientific segment will be followed by an artistic-cinematic one, featuring Filippo Zoi and Alessandro Salaorni, respectively the lead actor and producer of the award-winning documentary "The Thousand Gates of Filippo", which has achieved 61 victories to date as the 'Best Documentary' in prestigious international film festivals, from India to the United States, from Brazil to South Africa, from the end of 2022 until now.
At 9:00 PM, the screening of the documentary will take place, accompanied by live musical performances of the soundtrack, composed by Maestro Carlo Chiarotti, performed by Maestro Sabrina Malavolti Landi on clarinet, Maestro Francesco Furlanich on bassoon, and Maestro Sara Pavani on piano.
The event will conclude with final remarks and greetings. Admission is free for all citizens, and the Theater will open to the public from 7:30 PM.
