B&B, Hotels and Farm Holidays in Palazzuolo Sul Senio

Palazzuolo Sul Senio In Mugello, Tuscany
Starting in 1100, the territory of Palazzuolo Sul Senio was controlled by the Ubaldini dynasty who used the town mainly as a market. During the second half of the 13th century, the territory came under the power of the Florentine Republic. Palzzuolo Sul Senio was a Vicarage then until during the rule of the Medici, when it became a Captaincy along with Marradi. The leaders resided alternatively every six months in the two localities. The Captaincy was replaced by a Podestà, or city-commune, during the times of Leopold I up until 1837 when Leopold II once again abolished the commune and returned the territory under the jurisdiction of the vicarage of Marradi.
